PADANG BESAR: Two men believed to be part of a cigarettes and liquor smuggling syndicate were foiled in their attempt to ram past the gate at the Malaysia-Thailand border.
The men, driving a Toyota Hilux four-wheel drive with Thai registration plates, were reportedly acting suspiciously prior to attempting to ram the border gate at about 3am, Friday.
