KUALA LUMPUR: The United States’ Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) has “wrongly accused” alleged professional poker player Paul Phua of being a member of the Hong Kong-based 14K Triad criminal organisation, said his lawyer Tan Sri Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.
“The FBI has wrongly accused our client of perhaps being a member of the 14K Triad. The FBI has gotten an inaccurate information,” Shafee said at a press conference at his office here yesterday.
