JAKARTA: Indonesian authorities widened the search area for the missing Indonesia AirAsia flight QZ8501 on Monday, as officials said no signals had been picked up from the plane's emergency locator transmitters.
Authorities said on Monday that the missing plane is likely at the "bottom of the sea" based on location coordinates from just before it vanished from air traffic control, Reuters reported. The sea in that area is up to 50 meters deep.
