KOTA KINABALU: In an early morning blitz on several “water villages” to flush out illegal immigrants, a joint operation led by the Eastern Sabah Security Command (Esscom) nabbed 300 people and tore down 32 illegal structures built on government land.
From among those detained, 130 have been held at the Sandakan temporary detention centre for their failure to produce any identification documents and three others remanded for drug abuse.
