Humanitarian body sends relief workers, The Star joins efforts

PETALING JAYA: The Malaysian Red Crescent Society (MRCS) has sent out 120 relief workers comprising staff members, volunteers and paramedics to Kelantan. Two more teams are on standby to be sent for rescue operations in other flood-hit areas if the situation worsens.

Besides Kelantan, the MRCS is also preparing to help out in affected areas in Terengganu, Pahang, Perak, Kedah and Perlis. The MRCS and The Star, along with Firefly, are collaborating in efforts to bring relief to the thousands affected by the floods.
