MIRI: The suggestion by an Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) activist that Muslims have a choice of not greeting Christians “Merry Christmas” showed the group had gone overboard in fanning hatred and animosity among Malaysians, social activists and politicians in Sarawak say.
Peter Kallang, the Miri division chairman of the Orang Ulu National Association, said people in the state were watching such developments in peninsular Malaysia with worry.
