KUALA LUMPUR: A novelist succeeded in maintaining her award of RM50,000 in damages against her former personal assistant, who is also her sister-in-law, over nine defamatory postings in the latter's Facebook account.
Judicial Commissioner Vazeer Alam Mydin Meera dismissed an application by the novelist's personal assistant Asmaliyana Ahmad to set aside a judgment in default (JID) granted by the court on Aug 4.
