KOTA BARU: Sunny skies here yesterday provided the opportunity for residents to flock to Tambatan DiRaja (royal jetty) here to look at Sungai Kelantan.

A flood operations room spokesman said the sunny skies here is no respite for those living in flood prone areas because rain at the upper reaches of the river catchment – namely in Gua Musang, Kuala Krai and Machang – would still flow down to densely populated areas like Tumpat, Kota Baru and Pasir Mas districts.
