Thailand down Malaysia 2-0 in Suzuki Cup final first leg

PETALING JAYA: Thailand downed Malaysian 2-0 in the first leg final of the AFF Suzuki Cup 2014 at the Rajamangala Stadium in Bangkok thanks to goals from Charyl Chappuis and Kroekrit Thawikan.

Chappuis’ goal from the penalty spot in the 71st minute, after a foul by Fadhil Shas, was followed by a strike from Thawikan five minutes from the end.
