PETALING JAYA: The Coalition for Clean and Fair Elections (Bersih 2.0) will not oppose proportional discrepancies in any planned delineation exercise, so long as they are justifiable, said its resource person Wong Chin Huat.
“Malapportionment is deviation from the average, but the Constitution allows it if (an area) suffers from communication and transportation difficulties, like Sarawak. There would be justification for this kind of weightage there. We are flexible and we would not protest it, even if it happened in Langkawi,” he said at a media briefing here on Bersih 2.0’s Delineation Action and Research Team (DART) on Sunday.
