CHINESE community leaders and professionals welcomed the stand taken by a group of prominent Malays to uphold the spirit of the Federal Constitution and for the Government to start a national discussion on the position of Islam in the country’s constitutional democracy, Sin Chew Daily reported.
University Malaya Medical Centre’s Neurology Department adviser Datuk Prof Dr Tan Chong Tin said he was willing to join others to defend the Constitution and work towards a harmonious and united nation.
