Khairy: Malaysian football fans to be protected in Hanoi

PETALING JAYA: Malaysian football fans heading to Vietnam for the AFF Suzuki Cup semi-final return leg in Hanoi will be protected by authorities there, following the incident where some local hooligans attacked Vietnamese fans at the Shah Alam Stadium on Sunday, said Khairy Jamaluddin.

The Youth and Sports Minister said he had spoken to Vietnamese Ambassador to Malaysia Pham Cao Phong and asked for Malaysian football fans to be protected.
