KUALA TERENGGANU: Domestic violence cases nationwide has dropped by 11% this year due to increasing public awareness to report such crimes to the authorities, says the Women, Family and Community Development Ministry.
The ministry’s women’s development department deputy director-general Che Azizah Che Rashid said based on police records from January to September this year, there were 3,673 domestic violence cases as compared to 4,123 cases during the same period last year.
