Umno AGM: Unreasonable to close vernacular schools, says Sabah delegate


KUALA LUMPUR: It is not plausible to close vernacular schools as there are many bumiputra students studying there, said an Umno delegate from Sabah. 

According to Datuk Taufiq Abu Bakar Titingan, out of 35,162 students studying in Chinese vernacular schools in Sabah last year, 15,120 were bumiputra students.
