Wireman gets 14 years’ jail for robbing man of RM200


GEORGE TOWN: The High Court here sentenced a wireman to 14 years’ jail and 12 strokes of the rotan for robbing a man of RM200.

N. Saravanan, 28, appeared calm when the sentence was read out yesterday by Justice Zamani Abdul Rahim, who found him guilty of robbing P. Murugan Subramaniam, 26, while armed with a penknife at a building in Penang Street here on Dec 18, 2012.
