‘Solve housing woes of urban Malays’

KUALA LUMPUR: The lowest price for a housing unit in Kuala Lumpur is about RM300,000 but the average urban Malay can only afford a property below RM150,000, said Federal Territory Umno chief Datuk Seri Tengku Adnan Tengku Mansor.

He said the Malays in the FT own only about 93,000 units of property, which is a mere 21.7% of residential properties available as most cannot afford the sky-high prices of houses and apartments in Kuala Lumpur.
