KUCHING: The Wildlife Conservation Society has welcomed Chief Minister Tan Sri Adenan Satem’s tough stand on illegal logging, saying it must be stopped now.
The society’s Malaysia director, Dr Melvin Gumal, said illegal logging not only hurt the timber industry and Sarawak's international reputation but also the wildlife in and outside protected areas.
