PETALING JAYA: Legal action can be taken against those spreading rumours on Ebola through the Internet, the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC) warns.
Its senior director Sheikh Raffie Abd Rahman said in a statement yesterday that people should check with the relevant agencies to verify news from the social media before spreading it to their friends.
