PETALING JAYA: The Human Rights Commission of Malaysia (Suhakam) rejected claims by a Malay publication saying that it practices double standards, saying that it encouraged all parties to exercise their rights.
Suhakam was referring to the article published by a local daily on Wednesday, titled “Anwar’s case: Bar Council, Suhakam practice double standards” that alleged Suhakam was not opposing the attempts of supporters of Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim to challenge the legal system and demonstrate outside the Palace of Justice.
