KUALA LUMPUR: A coalition of 18 student groups from public and private universities on Monday handed over a memorandum to Opposition MPs demanding academic freedom, outside the Parliament building.
The group, Mahasiswa Ganyang Akta Hasutan (Ganyang), is demanding for all charges against nine University Malaya students to be dropped, for the University and University Colleges Act 1971 to be abolished and to return the Students' Union.
