PUTRAJAYA: The Customs Department has been urged to set up a special committee with the sundry shop association to help determine items that should be subject to Goods and Services Tax (GST) come April next year.
In proposing the idea, Deputy Finance Minister Datuk Chua Tee Yong said there had been concerns raised by the sundry shop association and other small businesses on how to determine common items that would be either categorised as zero or standard-rated under.
