“I urge the Sarawak government to withdraw the bill for the moment until appropriate rectification is done,” said Taiping MP Nga Kor Ming at the parliament lobby on Thursday.
“From the constitutional point of view, we believe that it is highly inappropriate. Any seat delineation should be odd numbers and not even numbers. Simple mathematics will tell you that if Pakatan Rakyat wins 41 seats, and Barisan National wins 41, then a constitutional crisis is tipped to happen in Sarawak,” he said.
