Too late to revise 6% GST or raise threshold, says Wee

KUALA LUMPUR: It’s impossible for the Government to revise either the 6% Goods and Services Tax (GST) or the RM500,000 threshold at this juncture as the law on it has been passed and gazetted, said Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Dr Wee Ka Siong.

“We have to follow the procedures and whatever revision will be done later, and not now,” he said after listening to the concerns of the Malaysia Singapore Coffee Shop Proprietors’ General Association here yesterday.
