PETALING JAYA: An activist who is facing sedition charges for allegedly insulting the monarchy has been described by Amnesty International as a prisoner of conscience who is at risk of further ill treatment if he remains in Malaysia.
In his Facebook account, Ali Abd Jalil said he was seeking asylum in Sweden, alleging that he was not treated fairly by the Malaysian authorities.
