KOTA BARU: The Kelantan Government has begun to fine-tune its planned Private Member’s Bill to implement the hudud penal code, which it expects to enforce next year once it gets the nod from the Dewan Rakyat.
“As it is, we are ready to implement the laws at any time and we are 90% ready to replace the Criminal Procedure Code (CPC),” said Kota Baru MP Datuk Takiyuddin Hassan, who heads the discussion panel on the methodology and implementation of the Syariah Criminal Procedure Code II 1993.
