US hails Malaysia’s stand against IS, militancy

JAKARTA: The United States has hailed the strong stand taken by Malaysia against the Islamic State (IS) movement as well as the country's commitment to fight militancy, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.

The Prime Minister said that, during his 45-min courtesy call with Secretary of State John Kerry, the US had also expressed hope of increased cooperation in combating IS’ threat of extremism.
