Businessman ordered to enter defence over killing of woman jogger


ALOR SETAR: The High Court here has fixed Dec 28 to 31 for the continued trial of a Datuk’s son who was ordered by the Court of Appeal to enter his defence for the murder of a woman jogger eight years ago.

Businessman Shahril Jaafar, 33, is charged with murdering marketing executive and Universiti Utara Malaysia graduate Chee Gaik Yap, 25, between 5.30pm on Jan 14, 2006, and 3.05am the following day near the Cinta Sayang Club in Taman Ria Jaya, Sungai Petani.
