Kg Tok Jembal disappearing


KUALA LUMPUR: Kampung Tok Jembal of Kuala Terengganu may be swallowed by the sea in a few years if measures are not taken to address the severe problem of coastal erosion.

Universiti Malaysia Terengganu’s (UMT) Centre of Marine Engineer-ing Studies researcher Dr Moham-mad Fadhli Ahmad said a simulation conducted four years ago found that 42.6m of the beach area would be eroded.
