KUALA LUMPUR: Cooperation among regional powers is vital to combat the Islamic State (IS) threat, said Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein (pic).
"Close cooperation between neighbouring countries, such as Indonesia, the Philippines and Brunei (is needed) in not just the context of asset deployment but also sharing of information, intelligence and in coordination of any counterattack, if necessary," the Defence Minister said during a press conference at the Parliament lobby on Thursday.
