NEW YORK: The election for five non-permanent seats on the United Nations (UN) Security Council (UNSC) begins at 10am local time on Thursday (10pm Malaysian time).
Malaysia, is contesting to represent the Asia-Pacific group, while two other members of the Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) - Angola and Venezuela - are contesting for the seats representing the African and the Caribbean groups, respectively.
