KUALA LUMPUR: A construction company in Wangsa Maju here became the first company this year to be fined a total of RM35,000 by a Magistrate's Court on Tuesday after its site was found to be a breeding ground for Aedes mosquitoes.
Magistrate Zura Syazween Amizan fined Maran Econ Build Sdn Bhd a total of RM8,500 in default eight months' jail for failing to follow directive to close its premise issued by senior environmental health assistant officer Mohd Asri Muda on Aug 23, this year.
