KUALA LUMPUR: Activist Hishamuddin Md Rais has been ordered to enter his defence for uttering seditious words at a May 13 forum last year.
Sessions Court judge Azman Mustapha said the prosecution has a prima facie case against Hishamuddin, 63.
The court fixed Nov 13 for trial where Hishamuddin will give his testimony under oath.
Hishamuddin was charged with former Batu Berendam MP Tamrin Ghafar, PKR vice-president Tian Chua, student activist Adam Adli, activists Haris Ibrahim and Safwan Anang.
They were accused of committing the offence at the Kuala Lumpur and Selangor Chinese Assembly Hall in Jalan Maharaja Lela here between 8.55pm and 11.15pm on May 13, last year.
Hishamuddin was represented by counsel Syahredzan Johan while Azlina Rashid was the deputy public prosecutor.
