THE number of dengue cases and deaths has reached record levels, surpassing the combined total of the past two years, said Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr S. Subramaniam.
“There have been 74,335 dengue cases with 143 deaths as of Sept 20,” he said. As comparison, he said 21,900 cases were recorded with 35 deaths in 2012. Last year, the statistics stood at 43,346 cases with 92 deaths.
