KUALA LUMPUR: Raw water supply to the treatment plant in Cheras has been contaminated by diesel, resulting in supply disruption for some 45,000 consumers in Kuala Lumpur and Selangor.
In a statement, Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) corporate communications and public affairs department general manager Priscilla Alfred said users in several areas from Balakong to Impian Ehsan in the Hulu Langat district are facing water disruptions due to the temporary closure of the Cheras 11th mile water treatment plant.
