NEW YORK: Presidents, prime ministers and several celebrities have turned up at the United Nations here to send one message – climate change and global warming are for real and there is a need for a universal climate agreement next year.
The Climate Summit is hosted by UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, who in his opening remarks said that climate change was threatening the hard-won peace and prosperity of billions of people.
