A VILLAGE council in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, has ordered about 150 girls from the Tyonga village to stop going to school or college to avoid harassment by gangsters.
Tamil Nesan reported that the headman, Rajesh Kumar, issued the order on Friday following the harassment of several girls while on their way home from an institution of higher learning.
