Liow: Toll issue won’t derail talks

Reaching out: Liow, and Dr Wee surrounded by MCA members and leaders at the convention in Yong Peng, Johor.

YONG PENG: The ongoing discussion on the proposed Malaysia-Singapore high-speed rail project will not be affected by the controversy surrounding increased toll rates at the Causeway checkpoint, says Datuk Seri Liow Tiong Lai.

The Transport Minister said the project was still in its early phase and both governments needed to agree on several issues before the project could take off.
