Selangor MB crisis: Anwar apologises to Selangor Sultan

PETALING JAYA: Opposition leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim (pic) has clarified that his remarks on convention practised in the appointment of the Selangor mentri besar were based on what he knew from his time in Barisan Nasional.

“I only said what I know to have happened from my time being in the Umno-Barisan Nasional government. If there was an error on my part, I apologise to the Selangor Sultan,” Anwar said in response to the Selangor Palace’s statement, which criticised him for confusing the rakyat with claims that it was convention to submit only one name for the mentri besar post.
