TUMPAT: The Kelantan state government has declared the Pengkalan Kubor by-election polling day, Thursday Sept 25, a public holiday to encourage voters to turn up and cast their ballots.
“To hold polling day on a workday is to deny the people their opportunity to vote so the Kelantan State Government has declared it to be a public holiday,” said Kelantan deputy Mentri Besar Datuk Mohd Amar Nik Abdullah Tuesday.
