KOTA TINGGI: Three local fishing vessels were detained by the authorities for breaching their fishing licences off Tanjung Sedili waters near here.
The Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (MMEA) was patrolling the area when the officers spotted a trawler about seven nautical miles northeast of Tanjung Balau coastline at around 2am yesterday, said Tanjung Sedili district Maritime head Kepten Amran Daud.
