PUTRAJAYA: The Home Ministry has confirmed that there are no special intelligence units under its wings which are allegedly authorised to carry out enforcement activities on its behalf.
The statement was issued in reference to the arrest of a relative of a VVIP in Alor Gajah on Aug 31, who claimed to be a ministry’s intelligence officer and handed over a card with the words “Intelligence” and “Special Unit of Home Ministry” printed on it.
