PETALING JAYA: DAP has yet to receive a response from the palace on the names it had sent for the Selangor Mentri Besar’s post, said the party’s state chairman Tony Pua.
“Just checked. We haven’t received anything,” he told The Star Online in a text message Thursday.
Meanwhile, PKR have yet to comment on the palace’s reply to its letter, after sending out a statement on Wednesday night but retracting it several minutes later.
Both DAP and PKR are believed to have stuck to the original consensus of nominating only one name for the job, that of PKR president Datuk Seri Dr Wan Azizah Wan Ismail.
On the other hand, PAS remains confused as to the contents of the letter its president Datuk Seri Abdul Hadi Awang reportedly sent to the palace.
The letter contains the names of three state PAS exco members as candidates, a detraction from the party’s original desire to nominate PKR deputy president Azmin Ali alongside Dr Wan Azizah for the post.
