Petaling Jaya mayor Datin Paduka Alinah Ahmad made the announcement on Thursday after chairing a special full council meeting on the matter.
Also present at the meeting were Bukit Gasing assemblyman Rajiv Rishyakaran and Damansara Utama assemblyman Yeo Bee Yin who acted as observers.
The earlier deadline was 5pm on Friday.
The city councillors had, on Aug 29, requested for an extension to the deadline when the people concerned had complained that they did not have enough time to analyse the amendments made to both plans.
