KAJANG: A businesswoman learnt the hard way not to leave money lying in the car after robbers made away with RM200,000 of her employees’ salaries.
District OCPD Asst Comm Ab Rashid Ab Wahab said Wednesday the 41-year-old woman was having lunch in Bandar Teknologi Kajang, Semenyih here when a strange man broke her car window at around 11.30am Tuesday
“She left a bag containing money in the backseat before going out for lunch.
“While at the restaurant, she heard an alarm going off and went to check her car.
“As she approached the vehicle, she saw a shadowy figure entering a Perodua Viva with the bag,” he added, saying that another suspect was at the wheels of the getaway car.
ACP Ab Rashid said police are reviewing the closed circuit television (CCTV) footage to identify the suspects.
The case has been classified as theft under Section 379 of the Penal Code.
