Nabbed — four who hid drugs under onion sacks


GEORGE TOWN: Four Indonesians trying to smuggle more than 16.8kg of syabu worth RM3.4mil out of Penang were arrested by the Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency. The foreigners were hiding the sacks among sacks of onions in a barter boat.

State MMEA enforcement chief Kapt Kamaruszaman Abu Hassan said patrol officers stopped the boat four nautical miles off the Tanjong Tokong coast do conduct checks at about 11.45am on Friday.
