KUALA LUMPUR: The remains of MH17 victims - television and theatre actress Shuba Jaya, her husband Paul Goes, and their infant daughter Kaela Maya - arrived at the Nirvana Memorial Centre in Sungai Besi on Tuesday.
The remains arrived at about 10.50am from the Bunga Raya Complex at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA), with family members present at the funeral parlour to receive them.
A number of family members could not hold back their tears while some were beginning to weep even before the remains were taken out of the hearse.
Despite the sombre mood, several photographers were roughed up at the scene for taking pictures.
At the moment, journalists have been barred from entering the hall where the funeral service is being held.
Earlier, the remains of seven Malaysians and two Dutch victims of the MH17 crash arrived at KLIA at 8.33am from Amsterdam.
Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak and his wife Datin Seri Rosmah Mansor were at the Bunga Raya Complex, KLIA, to join the next-of-kin in receiving the remains which were flown to Malaysia in five caskets and four urns.
Malaysia Airlines Flight MH17 was shot down over eastern Ukraine on July 17, killing all 298 people on board, including 43 Malaysians.
