SUNGAI SIPUT: The bodies of two brothers who fell into Perak River near Batu Musafat while fishing have been found.
The body of Meor Mohamad Izzat Meor Mazinun, 14, was the first to be found at Chegar Galah, some 5km from the site where he fell at about 9am here yesterday.
Twenty-five minutes later, the body of his brother Meor Mohamad Fahmi, 11, was found some 18km away at Ampang Pasir.
On Thursday, the two brothers had asked for their father’s permision to go fishing at about 3pm.
Their father Meor Mazinum Muin, 43, said his sons could not swim and believed that the younger boy might have jumped into the river to save the older sibling after he slipped.
Their friends ran to the nearest jetty to seek help.
