KUALA LUMPUR: Barisan Nasional’s candidate for the upcoming Pengkalan Kubor by-election will have big shoes to fill as late assemblyman Datuk Noor Zahidi Omar was popular and well liked by his constituents, said Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak.
The Umno president said the candidate had to be able to follow in Noor Zahidi’s footsteps, particularly with regard to how he had served the people.
