SUNGAI PETANI: Six police reports have been lodged at the Kuala Muda police headquarters here Sunday, calling for action against Padang Serai MP, N. Surendran who is alleged to have uttered statements in contempt of the national legal system.
Among those who made police reports included Kedah Umno Youth, Perkasa's Kuala Muda branch, the Merbok Umno Division and Merbok 4B Youth.
Kedah Umno Youth chief Datuk Shaiful Hazizy Zainol Abidin said they viewed Surendran's alleged statement on YouTube as an affront to the Courts.
In ALOR STAR, Persatuan Sahabat Perdana Menteri Negeri Kedah chairman Datuk Ghazali Ibrahim and 50 other NGOs also lodged similar police reports for action to be taken against the Surendran.
In JASIN, Jasin Umno head Datuk Ahmad Hamzah also lodged a police report over the same matter at Merlimau police station at 10.30am Sunday. - Bernama
