SHAH ALAM: Sultan Sharafuddin Idris Shah has ordered Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim not to make any decision or announcement with regards to his position as mentri besar until the Ruler returns on Aug 27.
Khalid (pix) said in a statement late Friday that he had communicated with the Sultan on the latest development in the state, including the "sentiments" of the assemblymen.
"The Sultan said he was satisfied that I have the majority support of members in the state assembly when I had an audience with him on Aug 11.
"In this respect, Tuanku said I should not make any decision or announcement regarding the mentri besar's post until I am able to meet him when he returns on Aug 27.
"I advised all parties who claimed that I had 'confused' the Tuanku to write to him for clarification," Khalid said.
